Cooper’s out-going CS6 tyre was a spanking bit of sticky rubber and we were almost filled with rage to hear it was being replaced with a more ‘eco-friendly’ version. That was until we saw this, the new CS8.

Yes, it may be a bit lighter on the polar bears (if you worry about such things), but the most important thing here (especially for those of us in the UK), is that this one has been given a full-on A-rating for wet grip.

That basically means the performance is the best it can possibly be and we just can’t wait to get our mitts on a set to make sure.

Offering exceptional handling characteristics it also incorporates their ridiculously clever ‘Wear Square’ indicator built right into the tread.
